EM&I Celebrates its 10th Birthday in China

In 1997, EM&I opened its first office in Shekou, the then new industrial zone in Shenzhen Southern China.

EM&I recruited a local Chinese marketing graduate to administer the new office, and two expatriate Technical Managers who remained in China for a period of 3 three years.

In 1997, EM&I had one contract to provide Asset Integrity and Inspection Services for the Nan Hai Fa Xian FPSO.

Now, ten years later, EM&I have two offices in China to service large Operations and Asset Integrity Management (O-AIMS) contracts both in Northern and Southern China.

EM&I skills transference programme and personnel employed statistics to date are as follows:
            80% Expatriate - 20% Chinese in 1997
20% Expatriate - 80% Chinese in 2007

EM&I plan to celebrate ten years of successful business in China later in the year by inviting staff, clients and regulators to an open day and celebratory buffet party, which will take place in EM&I new offices in Tanggu.
